If you are building a playlist around “careful what i try to do” energy, start here: Careful What I Try To Do (Erasure, ~3 min). It is free to download on Soundex with a CC0 / public-domain badge, then confirm the same file in your NLE before you publish.

Source: Internet Archive item the-neon-raw-flac. Soundex hosts the catalog page; the audio remains the public-domain / CC0 original.

If the picture is nature, kitchen, or study footage, prefer this over festival-loud EDM. If the picture is gym or trailer, audition the loudest 15 seconds first. License path: CC0.

Creator notes from the Soundex preview

Solo the track against your loudest B-roll clip; if it disappears, it is too polite for that scene.
If it is too present, try a 1–2 kHz dip instead of slamming the volume.
Document Erasure + “Careful What I Try To Do” + this page URL in the edit notes.
Compare two more edm tracks from the same hub before you lock the cut.

If you only need 8 seconds, still download the full file. Stems and handles disappear when you crop in the browser player.

This page is part of Soundex topical authority for free edm music — not a duplicate of other track pages. Next: more EDM, the full catalog, or guides on YouTube music and royalty-free vs copyright-free.
